Only If Life Were That Easy

Beach House 300x213 Only If Life Were That EasyWhen looking at those who have more than you do, it can be easy to have the thoughts of “if only I had…” and “life would be easier if I were…”.  These may not be deep rooted thoughts, but at some level and to some degree you are probably thinking it. I know I do. Now, I’m not talking about your broke friends who look like they have money, I’m talking about the people who could write a check with a few zeros on the end of it and know it will come from their checking account, not their line of credit.

The one thing that I came to know very quickly is that money only magnifies who you already are. If you are a giver when you have little, there is a good chance you will be a giver when you have much. The same goes for if you hoard every penny that comes into your hands. The only thing that will change if you were given $1,000,000 is that now you have $1,000,000.

No matter what you are wishing for, unless you are truly content with what you have now and where you are currently at, ultimately your circumstances won’t change. You’re still going to need another vacation, another car and even another big screen TV – while at the same time living from paycheck to paycheck. This is a never ending cycle that will only stop with you.

Learn to be faithful with the little things in life so that when more is put into your hands, you will know what to do with it.
